I have designed and skined a site sucessfully very recently. I am skinning a different site now, and I have one issue. The skin has a side section with advertisements, and latest headlines etc.. It also has the navigation and such below a top bar. Since I want the navigation to show one very page it would have to be in the header correct? Also the side bar, the navigation is on the same level as the side bar (see picture for reference). The side bar, How exactly is the side part done? Is it a table within FORUMHOME, or what? I need some insight or info as this is my first skin with this type of layout. What I am talking about can be directly realated to what www.talkfreelance.com has done to it's layout.

This is my skin BTW, please note the section containing the news etc.. will house the forum.

You could divide the skin into 2-3 tables.
3 TABLES:
Header includes logo, navigation, and 468 banner (header and navbar templates)
Body inculdes all the content
Footer includes copyright notice, etc (footer template)

Good luck

Thanks, I actually made the header everything from the top to the bottom of the nav. I will put the ad in the forum content table. That will work right?

Here is what I got so far, about 5 min of work. www.golfboards.net/vb

it's a good start!

Are you slicing the design yourself?

You can add the start of the BODY table to the navbar template.

Yes I am going to slice it all my self. Do you have AIM or MSN? Also what did you mean by adding a start of the body table int he navbar template? Is that for the blue side border?
