Basically, I tried modding my own search.php file with no success in attempting to add a category specifically for Google AdSense for Search when somebody goes to advanced search. Ideally I'd like to add the category right above 'Search Forums' and just have Google's search box there all on its own. I'm pretty sure that this is a simple mod or code, but I just gave up on trying it myself since I was just getting errors.

Well, for starters you don't modifiy files to get your custom code into a template :)

Second search.php has no real content and may be agasint the Google TOS for Adsense.

However, you can modify the SEARCH templates to get your desired effect.

Very nice!! Just might be what I'm looking for. ;) Will advise how it came out later.

Update : success. Thanks agian Zachery for pointing me in the right direction.

Having trouble getting it to look right as a "thead" on the very top of the template... it comes out wide in a fixed column width. Can any one help me insert the right code?

BTW, the link to the page is : http://forums.ninetoez.net/search.php

Guys, can someone just help me then instead code this correctly so it looks "OEM"? I've removed it from my forums now entirely until I can fix this, however the attached image is what I'm trying to get it to look like, but the width on the Google box throws off the rest of the table. I just need someone's hand in coding the Google AdSense for search box into the template so it looks like it belonged there to begin with, and I've messed with it for days now and can't get it right, but know some of you coders can do this without blinking. Help!

I'm guessing it can't be done anyway since I tried just inserting the code so the search box sits on top of everything else, however without a table, and all it will search anyway is within the forums instead of Google. I made sure four times that I had the same code from AdSense to paste in and all it does is search within the forum instead of the internet. I have it added on the navbar and wanted it here as well too, but gave up. Thanks to anyone who read up on this.
