Hi
Did anyone ever tried to implement vB into some other software which uses it´s own database and session system?
I mean if you login into the other software, like a CMS (I don´t want a cms!) then you should also be logged in to vBulletin, or if you register in the other software you are also registered on vBulletin.
I am not talking about integrating something into vBulletin I mean the other way round
If you did this how did you manage this?
Especialy the session handling (creating a user in vB as well is not the problem)

Pretty cool idea. Perhaps close to what you're looking for?

Thanks but soap and xmlrpc are producing to much overhead so it is nothing for us ;)

My VBulletin server is running PHP 4.4.0 and I believe it is not running any sort of SOAP extensions but I have shell access so I may be able to add this to it. My goal is to get access from ASP.NET on another server the user information from VBulletin so that the users have one central login DB. If anyone is wanting to do something like this let me know as I would see it being very useful for many users.
