Wrong forum or site please let me know, but since this has to do with modding i figure .org is best...

i have a hack i am trying to install, but the one part it says

"/ - use tools.php to run it."

i uploaded tools.php and ran it but i dont see anywhere i can use or have an optiont o "run" a .xml file in the includes folder...?

Is there a guide on how to use extra's in tools.php ?

Did you try asking in that hack thread?

I would be interested in a link to that hack, and a copy&paste of the part of the instractions where you are instructed to use tools.php. I don't know of any hack that is requiring the use of tools.php.

Always make sure that you remove tools.php immediate when finished, it is dangerous to leave it there.

Upload bitfield_lockdown.xml to includes/xml/ - use tools.php to run it.
Upload lockdown_plugin.xml thro plugin system (dont forget to enable the system)
Upload flags to images dir.
Upload iplocate folder to your includes dir.

And yes i asked on the thread there with no answer.

No, i am not doing a warez board, but i like some of their hacks as i am trying to do a forum for a friends new poker site and he wanted to have a feed of tournament player standing on his main forum page update regularly so this hack seemed to be a good base to try and work from and see if i can get it working before we run out and pay someone to do it.

They probably mean that you needed to rebuil bitfields. There has never been a need to use tools.php for that, and since 3.5.1 it is totally not needed after installing a hack.
