View Full Version : It's all about the content
So this is what I am requesting for a Mod
Thread Title Prefix
For example in the ice cream forum
Thread title I like Rocky Road
would like that title to read
Ice Cream Topic : I like Rocky Road
I think this would make google index topics better and get better search engine placement.
Anybody know how to do this?

That is absolutly true. There is a good article with instructions on this at www.vbwebmaster.com. vBWebMaster is exclusively for vBulletin admins. They focus on the best bulletin board exclusively, vBulletin. You won't find the distractions other BB info while trying to find help for vBulletin.
Or, considering that you are looking at SEO'ing your vBulletin, try www.vbseo.com .. or http://forum.time2dine.co.nz/seo-vbulletin/search-engine-optimize-vbulletin-98.html ... you wont get distractions about other things like new photo galleries or the "fact" that Gmail accounts are insecure because they set your address as the default 'secondary address'..

Thanks for the heads up. They make some decent code. But, you can find my bug fixes to some of it in the appropreate threads.
Before you put your SEO eggs in anyone's basket, get some unbiased opinions of the pros and cons of any SEO method you may consider. SEO is not a trick, it's a job. It's work. There is not one do all end all solution and there is no solution that is permanent.
We discuss the dynamics of those things when we code any hack or vBulletin extention or SEO method at the forum as well. You get to decide, we don't tell you. You are smarter then that to be just told and take that as gospel. Use your mind, keep it open, and draw your conclusions from more then one source. Base your decisions on fact, not emotion.
Good luck with your SEO efforts. It's worth the work.

I'd be curious to hear how this one doesn't cover what you're looking for.
