View Full Version : All vbmail as HTML and then some...

Hello :)

I'm looking for a way to do a few things here.

First:
I'd like for any mail sent through the vbmail function to be sent as HTML.

Second:
http://www.teenhelp.org/test.html - I have a template that I'd like to throw all the mail through that would put the emails into that little "wrapper" so that they look a little more user friendly and customized to our site.

Third:
You'll notice on the example above that there's $emailtext and $removetext. I know this one will be a pain, but... I'd like a way to customize the $removetext depending on the type of email being sent, obviously, to be fitting for that type of email. I could eventually figure out how to do this on my own, but until then I'd need a default remove line if one wasn't specified through the vbmail function.

I've been playing around with this for a while and I only render my emails unsendable... I might figure out a way still to make it work, but I'm sure someone who's familiar with the vbmail setup would have a better way than me. :p Any help would be appreciated.

Edit:
Oh, never mind, I may have been doing better with this than I thought. I was using the link in member profiles to email a user to test, and was emailing myself... but I wasn't seeing the "this is from so and so" at the bottom like I thought I always saw before. Turns out that wasn't there in the first place when looking back at previous emails. :p If you have any ideas, I'd still appreciate them though.

Ok, I've managed to get all mail to send as HTML and to be put into that template. That much is working.

What I can't figure out is how to set up the vbmail function to where I can pass the $removetext to it as well. Kind of like how you have vbmail($emailaddress, $subject, $message) etc., I'm looking to be able to specify $removetext that would be placed at the designated spot on that template.

If anyone knows how to add another variable to the vbmail function, that would be appreciated...

I'm looking for assistance on this as well.

Can anyone help?

The vBulletin emails are really terrible - difficult to read and it is just a matter of simple formatting, but how can this be done?

Thanks.
