Sorry, I meant as an automated process, and mostly to stipulate the rules. I was being facetious with the notification part. Since it seems that election to the poll is automated also. Why not just add another process. It's called CYA where I come from. So yes, I am serious.
You do know that the staff here are really Alice bots right?

ok where are the hanging chads? Instead of taking votes away the Supreme Court (vb.org command central) chose to remove the candidate. what a mess. just like the election process in the US I remember seeing all over the place to vote for VBSEO sitemap. that didn't make me vote for them I voted for another script. I think this is a rotten deal. no one put a GUN to another users head telling them to vote for ibpro. if it wasn't a hack to the voting system or mass spamming I believe your justification just plainly stinks. i never received a PM

They seem to miss the point that by punishing the author they are inadvertently punishing the voters.
The least they can do is let us vote for something else. (WITHOUT HAVING TO PM SOMEONE!)

We have given you a way to change your vote yet you choose not to PM anyone to get it done - Therefore the problem is on your end, not ours...

Then can you mass pm the people who voted for ibproarcade to revote again? Not! :D

I strongly disagree. It's the least you can do for your customers. I problem is squarely on the staff and attitudes like that paint a negative picture. Wow, I need to actually do some work and solve everyones problem in one shot as opposed to 200 people PMing you. I would also mass PM everyone whos votes you tossed out and inform them kindly that you are sorry for the inconvenience and that they can vote again.
That's the right company/customer attitude to have!

in a democratic vote process. if we find that a rule is fraudulent you throw it out. you don't throw out the candidate. you throw out the votes.

And I am to do that how Jenta?
"Attitudes like that" - Er, I gave you a way to do get your vote changed, the only way I can actually do it, and you don't like that option - There is little else I can do for you in that respect...
"Wow, I need to actually do some work and solve everyones problem in one shot as opposed to 200 people PMing you." - This kind of attitude by you shows that you really have no respect for me as a person, and ignoring the fact that I am not an Administrator (therefore unable to offer you any other avenue of achieving your goal personally), I offered the only way I could possibly change the votes of those who wished to re-vote - Next time, I won't be so generous as to take up my time to add a number to a vote count by editing the poll manually...
And aside from your beliefs, I again re-itterate that that is the only solution I can offer you...
You forget that I am a customer as well, probably at least 2 years before you were - While my moderator duties are representative of Jelsoft to a certain extent, what I offered, was a personal effort on my part to help users who wished to re-vote get their say...
As always, this post expresses my opinions and thoughts and not those of Jelsoft or the vBulletin.org staff...

Sitka,
I assure you there is no conspiracy behind this vote; the staff of vb.org has nothing against IPBProarcade. If you have a problem with the way things were handled you can contact one of the Admins, but you will just get the same answers that are found in this thread.

Actually, many of them are just run on anarchy. Which is why so many peeps are not accustomed to moderating their own behaviour in an online community.
I'm sure that doesn't apply to anyone here though. Everyone here is a webmaster that knows what it's like to deal with opposing demands and the pains and responsibilities of running a community, and making it thrive. Everyone here knows what it takes to make the best decision available and stick with it, right or wrong. Everyone here knows what it's like to spend much of your free time serving others only to have them slap you upside the head and publicly abuse you when they simply disagree. We're all in the same boat right?

ya know i been gone most of december untill january and come back to see alot of flaming and drama over these arcades the same thing that happened when they were launched, ya got one dude who keeps bringing up the paid support issue and then you got the iddue of zero pming someone. its hack of the month not like your gonna recieve a tin button and a gift certificate to dennys :P for winning. you hackers create these hacks for yourself and the community, and to all that install your work its appreciated, who really cares whos hack is th best for the month, Not i since i install everything that is fresh i dont prefer one arcade over another. or a google map over a rpg game. and so on, its all appreciated work. its getting cvhildish how most of the people who vote for ippro arcade criticise v3arcade when they make a comment. both creators and the other creators in this poll did good jobs. i am sorry to see a stupid rule as in spamming for votes disable a hack i care less if its 500 votes ahead or 500 behind, the point why shouldnt a hacker be able to tell the installers to vote for the hack if they like it ? or have it installed. this spam rule is Beyond retarded. i prefer v3arcade but i wouldnt complain if john or zero sent me a pm saying check out my hack or vote for it. its a free hack site theres a delete button and theres also a mind behind the vote. if zero sent me a pm saying dude my hack is the best of the best brotha and it needs a vote. that wont change my mind if i dont believe it is. i could see if in every post he made or he kept sending multi pms to everyone saying vote for me . but him sending 17 pms to people who helped him or even if they just installed it is no different then in there threads they had bold letters saying VOTE FOR ME. and no different then the members here seeing the poll and voting for who they prefer. Unless the admin and mods think everyone that come to this site are midless sheep who follow everything they read!!1
this poll is null and v3arcade now shouldnty even feal good about winning. its like the battle between fast food chains. Mcdonalds gets advertsing but now burgerking cant tell no one about there new bacon chedder whopper. but on busses you can see the Super big mac... by offering free stuff to this site and to the users they should have the right to pm the people who install there work. no matter the case, and there is no way u could stop john or anyone else for that matter from getting people to vote outside the site by aim yahoo websites or anything else.
the people who voted for ippro were not swayed by a pm. and therefore this poll is now garbage and mods are ruining more and more with there tripping on power.
spamming for proffit is one thing i shake my head at this decision and therefore care less about hack of the month from now on. not that it matters bvut it aint even worth having this type of stuff if your gonna shut down peoples hard work over a few emails pms or word of mouth,...
next presidential election just vote for the person who looks best dont listen to them dont read about them dont listen to the news since promoting a competition is not aloud

Plus this voting thing is weak, it should be that if your votes were remove, you should be able to vote for something else or get a pm from a thread that you vote in, telling you that something has been change? Nah!. Just poking a stick at you, to see if you are awake. :D

True. If it is good enough to be HOTM, it would likely be near the top of the forum constantly anyway.

I would like to go relatively on-topic and vote for v3Arcade. Not because I am English, but because v3Arcade is better than IBPro. Plain and simple.
