How to delete this:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

from the header of all html pages?

I can't find it in any style!

Please answer me soon as possible, thank you very much

I would create a replacement value.

And make it replace "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">" with a space....

Easiest way, I think.

BTW.. WRONG FORUM!!!

In the Style Manager edit the Stylevars.. the HTML Doctype is the final option, just remove everything there and the doctype will be removed on all pages.

question though:

why do you want the doctype to be dropeed ?!

this is the only/first element that makes your pages looks like HTML to the browser... anybody wanting to delete this detail is in the complete wrong path to make good webpages...

WOW....I agree with nexialys (mark it down folks)

He is correct. if you would like to have your pages confrom to a different standard then just edit the DOCTYPE, But to remove it altogether is just plain DUMB....OK Maybe not dumb, but definitely not a good strategy.

actually, if a style is badly written it is best for owners to remove the doctype ... this way the browser will display page in quirks mode
