I currently help to run the forum www.systemwars.com
We are a fairly active forum about videogames, and we are looking to have a main site added on. We have tried many CMS's, vbadvanced, subdreamer, mkportal etc. And just found it doesn't seem to work like we want.
So we belive a custom solution is going to be our best bet.
We would like a news creation system that will allow us to use a WYSIWYG editor to create news articles. It needs an archive system for news.
A reviews system to allow us to create reviews (much like the news system)
Both of these systems would need subcategories to organize the info into the appropriate console or PC area. (IE: Xbox 360, PS3, PC etc.)
A vBulletin global login on the front page, and ability to pull forum data, latest posts, etc. to the main page. And a polls system for the main page.
A search system to find news, previews and reviews.
Anywho, I know there are a few php coders out there. if anyone can even give the roughest ballpark that would be a massive help to us.
