The code could possibly have changed between 3.5.1 and 3.5.2. I'll see about looking it up later and see if I can find what has changed.

I've checked it on 3.5.1 and everything as described appears as indicated.
If you can't find it try searching for a small section of the find text and replace the section as indicated. It could be different if you have modified the template already or installed a custom style that modified the template.

Does it stop the number of queries the board is doing, or does it simply just remove the visibilty of the counts (so the forum is still running the query).

Any way to remove thread/posts count only from forumhome?

@ robert_2004: it just removes the displayed info and does not touch the php code therefore does not reduce the amount of queries.
@chadi: via conditional - yes. Am I writing it - No.

Thanks. I'm trying to "prune" all the non-essentials like "Display Options", most menus, welcome message and such.
This will help.

I've checked it on 3.5.1 and everything as described appears as indicated.
Ditto: Tested on 3.5.4 and it works perfectly. All the code as indicated in the txt file was present in 3.5.4. I had no problems whatsoever doing these edits.
Thank you for sharing this peterska, i have been looking for it and happy to finally find this modification thanks to Daniel (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=997353#post997353) ...Be well -

That's what I'd like too.
Is it just a matter of doing only the modifications on the forumhome template?
Also, I'm using 3.5.1 and could not find the following in FORUMHOMEFIND
<td class="thead">$vbphrase[threads]</td>
<td class="thead">$vbphrase[posts]</td>
DELETE IT

If you have modified templates, then code could be in different places.
Please note this this modification is unsupported, and that no updates are planned for it.
Could you just edit the forumhome, forumhome_forumbit_level1_post and forumhome_forumbit_level2_post templates of your Mod to take threads and posts off of the forumhome only?
Would this work?
I just don't like getting rid of the reply counts in forumdisplay.

It should do, logically there is no reason why it wouldn't

I have not tried it, but I can't see any reason why it shouldn't work. Try it on a test style first though.
Porting of this modification to 3.6 will be done by myself if required as soon as I get some free time available where I also have a net connection and am therefore able to do so. Permission will not be given to anyone else to port it.

I'm having one problem, there is a blank column.
I could be because I couldn't find this code:
<td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions['showmoderatorcolumn']">6<else />5</if>"><phrase 1="$vboptions[bbtitle]">$vbphrase[welcome_to_the_x]</phrase></td>
I got everything else though.
Thanks, great hack :)

Just posted this for Hiding Thread Views on 3.7.1+ versions... I'm sure with a lil tweaking, you could delete the Replies column easily enough following this same info in a sense ...
