Latest Thread on Forumhome

What this does
This hack will display the latest thread details for a specific forum on your forumhome. See screenshot below for an idea of what it will look like.

Installation
Install the attached Product XML as normal. You then need to edit the FORUMHOME template and add $latest_thread where you would like the details to appear.

Now go to AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> Latest Thread on Forumhome and set the Forum ID to pull the latest thread from.

Customization
The phrase is a Global phrase called latest_thread_link_text. In this phrase, there are 4 vars:

{1} is the link to the thread (/forum/showthread.php?t=... etc)
{2} is the Thread title
{3} is the name of the Thread author
{4} is the date the Thread was posted.

You can edit the phrase to say whatever you wish, you can also place $latest_thread anywhere in the FORUMHOME template.

Important: Unfortunately, my leased vBulletin licence has now expired, and I won't be renewing it until September which means I will be unable to reply to this thread, or update this mod until then. I'm hopeful that the great vBulletin.org community will step in to answer any questions in my absence though :) See you all in early September! :D

To center it, use something like:

<div align="center">$latest_thread</div> in the FORUMHOME template.

Ooops, forgot to mention in the release post that you need to set the Forum ID to pull the thread from.

Go to AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> Latest Thread on Forumhome and set the Forum ID in there.

ok so if i wanna pull threads from more forums i would go 1,2,3 etc ?

edit: nevermind you can only choose one forum id, i thought it tells you the latest thread from any forum

I have now returned from my holidays, hope you all had a good <insert-seasonal-holiday-name-here> :)
