Hi,
How do i display the latest 5 topics (subject of message+user who posted)on another php page?
Currently i have this done using UBB postingboard but would like to do the same on my new 3.5 VB.
Hope somebody knows this as i cant get my page updated with my VB before i can have the latest 5 topics listed in a box on a diffrent page (on same domain)
Anyone knows this?
Thx

If you do a search, you wil find several solutions, tutorials and released addons that will give you this.

I've been searching for the same thing for a few hours and the best I could find were for older versions of vB. Limiting the search to only vB3.5 helps, but only one add-on comes up and it seems to be for listing the "Latest Topics" on the forumhome page, not on an external website.
I recently migrated my phpBB2 to vB3.5; there was a simple PHP code for displaying the most recent topics from phpBB2 in my main page - it would be nice if this could be done easily in vB3.5. I'm sure it can be and I'm sure its out there - but finding it through all the masses of threads and topics is difficult. It would be nice if these mods were organized neatly into a spreadsheet with key words ... I know, the output from the search is supposed to do this :ermm: .
I guess I'll continue my searches and swim through hundreds of posts to see if I can find what I need :bored: . Alternatively, perhaps you can put a few links to the topics/addons/tutorials which you mentioned in your post since you are aware of them? It would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

I second... or third... or whatever I currently am.. this. There is nothing that allows you to do things such as list "recent topics/threads/posts" on a NON VB EXTERNAL page. I have looked both on and off this site for ages and couldnt find anything.
MarcoH64, perhaps you can provide some linkage?

I've been searching for something like this as well. To no avail. I'll keep searching... however, I'm curious to know what "bump" means? lol.

bump is when you up the topic for others to see.
Anyway I am searching for this also.
