Last one got closed due to people on both sides of the issue being redundant and rude.

New thread and poll.

EDIT:: Can a mod change the first option slightly for me?

Change it from

"Yes, a directory not associated with vb.org" to "Yes, a directory not associated with vb.org (But still official site.)"

I think ti would make things clearer.

Heh, another closed thread.

*sigh*

That is why the last one got closed due to people going off topic. Its simple, if you have nothing to contribute to the discussion do not post.

Also you using the post as a way to point out your signature is also going to help lots.

Please, for the love of God, follow the rules everyone so we can have a healthy discussion over this.

I think all that has been said, and needed to be said has been said by people on both sides of the fence. Frankly I feel you starting this thread is yet again, beating a dead horse so to speak, no offence.

The final decision still lies in the staff administering this site, so why not just see what they come up with, if any. I am sure they have heard what we all have had to say, from both sides of the coin.

Yes, I believe me pointing out my site will help, because I am of the opinion a directory listing is sufficient and that feature on my site serves to help vBulletin users looking for commercial options available. I don't make any money of it, I don't charge advertising fees to be listed on it. It's somewhat of a personal collection of resources which I myself back when I was a new vBulletin user ( not so long ago ), looked through to find solutions for my own site(s). I would be more than happy if more could contribute to it and add to the list if they may know of other resources available.

So yes, in a way I feel I am contributing by plugging my own site.
Sorry if you or anyone else feels otherwise.

This is ridiculous. How many times do I have to vote NO?

Yes ,it was. We were given permission to open a new one if people could stay on topic and keep the discussion intelligent.

Wayne Luke wrote at ...
Poll: Should .org have a section for paid add-ons? (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=836302#post836302)

"I know of about 100 products that integrate with vBulletin and are sold commercially."

Then the list could easily fit in one Thread ... as per this Poll ...
Provide a list of paid vB add-ons at vB.org? (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=101447)

... A single (Closed) Thread, perhaps pre-formulated into posts which would represent types of add-ons, containing the briefest essential info ...

A quick reference list of paid add-ons would be suffice for me.

---------
Re: This Poll ... no specifics were provided on the definition of each option, therefore I would need to vote Undecided ... but I won't until a brilliant coder figures out how to let us change our vote during the discussion period.

I goofed up writing up a most basic Poll request, and this one is subject to various interpretations, so perhaps we should take the advice of Wayne Luke ...

"At such a time that we are able to proceed there will be a new thread opened by me, with pretty strict participation rules where people can express their concerns in a townhall style format. Until that time, I suggest we all cool down and think of what your concerns really are."

Secret Posts? I never heard of such a thing :paranoid: As if we have those sort of things

The last thread was closed and the attack of mods was cited. This attack was also called unfounded because some were discussing their opinions.

However, I am in possession of verifiable attacks by mods here that can show why mods here are under attack and the conflict of interest is very obvious in their attacks of vBulletin customers.

I have been going out of my ways to play by the rules here and at .com. I have been going out of my way here to be helpful to newbs. I have been going out of my way here helping with buggy hacks. I have been going out of my way producing FOC hacks that are useful and work. I have been going out of my way porting hacks that were abandoned. I have been going out of my way reporting and helping fix verifiable vBulletin Bugs.

However yesterday I came under attack by one of these so called unbiased employees of jelsoft despite being an A$$ kissing vBulletin customer.

It's ashame that no one cares and the mods get the last word.

This is not to attack the mods, there are many here that are high quality personalities and code helpers. They shine everyday.

My point is to show there is some rotton wood in the pile and it's about time we stand up to them and Jelsoft get's rid of them for the benefit of the vBulletin community.

Someone in this community WILL find the right ears at Jelsoft eventually!

I thought this poll was made so we could keep arguing over paid hacks being advertised here (which is pointless)... not whether or not we like certain individuals on staff (which is also pointless).

The point is, everytime the customers ask for something, the mods take control and over power the suggestion and usually to their advantage.

It's about time this company and it's so called employees wake up and relealize, without us, they cease to exist. They should be catering to us, not us them.

Once this community of customers gets to gether on and unbiased site and discusses all of these equities without being hushed by the guilty parties or their aliances, nothing us cunstomers say will ever matter.

It's about time we customers get some respect and an avenue to the company that is not stacked with aliances to our site's competitors!

I'm sorry to hear you're not happy with how the site is managed, Noppid. But to be more clear, perhaps, my post wasn't made asking you to repeat or expand on your complaint.

It was really just a hint that we need to stay on topic in this thread... though, personally, I don't see any value to be gained by continuing any poll on the subject.

The point is, under this manamgement, we the customers can not have a topic. Status quo will prevail.

There are inside aliances and there is anomosity when a site that is not in the jelsoft club does better then one that is. The rules are changing all the time to benefit the insiders and not the REAL customers.

Not eactly a good business relationship if you ask me. The mods here can't fix this, only an intellegent imformed corporate agent could fix this. I doubt that these problems are ever brought up in the corporate meetings though. It's like asking a criminal to invetigate his own crime.

None of the Jelsoft customers are fairly represented in the corporate office and there is no avenue for customers to complain. The complaints go to those we would complain about it seems and dies.

Those all sound like pretty wild accusations to make here. At first, I thought you were unhappy with some of the staff, but I guess you're not too pleased with Jelsoft either. Kinda hard to tell exactly who you're taking aim at with this.

I still don't think this poll thread will get you the attention of anyone at the Jelsoft Corporate office. This really isn't the right place for the type of complaint you're making.. and it goes far beyond the scope of this poll.

To contact some "intelligent informed corporate agent," your best bet is probably to file your complaint officially through this route:

This page contains complete information about how to contact any of the departments within Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.

http://www.vbulletin.com/contact.php

The .com site does have an avenue for customers to complain.

If anyone has problems with Staff here at vbulletin.org, their first stop would be to take it up with one of our Administrators. If this is not properly handled in your opinion, you could contact Wayne Machol, who is our Site coordinator. If this also not lead to a solution and you feel treated uncorrect, you can always directly PM or mail Kier.

The only complaint I have is that I don't have a complaint.

I've followed your suggestion and sent a polite note.

And yet again a thread is taken completely off topics.

If you have complaints about staff, you need to forward them to me privately. This public bickering needs to stop.

And Steve Machol and I are two different people. ;)

We need to get along here or what is the point of even having the community?

Three other important things for you to factor in;

a.) We are customers too
b.) We are volunteers
c.) We are Human Beings and therefore have a right to our own opinions

Now - Let's get back to the topic at hand please...
