Download views in modification posts, like the attached, is it possible?

I wouldn't agree in that, but it would be very useful to see how many times the attachment(s) was/were downloaded.
It would also be useful to provide the coder a list with everyone that has clocked install and not expect them to post in the modification thread to see it. :)

This has been discussed a few times before. It was left out on purpose, although i don't remember all the arguments right now.

is it possible just to get the numbers of downloads an attached file has gotten? because its helpful to see how many have downloaded and how many have clicked install.

You can get the view counts already with showpost.php. They reset on every upgrade though.
