Lock threads by age

Is it possible to have it so when someone posts a thread they can rate it 18+ or under 18? So that users who are not 18 cannot see 18+ rated threads?

That would be a kick ass hack.

Use a seperate forum for it, and allow only access to a usergroup that contain your 18+ members.

I'm not looking for an alternative, I'm looking for a hack like I described.
