Do you have permission from the original coder to use, change and/or distribute this file?

yes i do have permission and thats got nothing to do with the question that i asked in any case so yeah but i got it to work by taking out the $cronimage in the footer and adding it to the index.php so now all is well thanks guys

That doesn't sound a very wise idea to me.

What do you actually mean when you say you added $cronimage "to the index.php" - did you physically edit index.php ?
In fact, nevermind, where does 6 months come into this ? you posted this thread barely two days ago. You already applied your "fix" before I even got to see the reply to my question. Your whole attitude seems very confrontational.
$cronimage is built and inserted into your footer to call the cron jobs. Without asking, I don't know the reason for doing it this way - but I would be 100% sure there is a very good reason, and it is unwise to tamper with it unless you know what the effects will be. But I'm sure you know what you are doing, so good luck. :)

well paul your right this thread is 2 days old but i asked the same thing like 6 months ago and on vbhackers.com i have posted many times aswell and working with the coder and he told me to make sure that the $cronimage was still in my modded footer template to i looked and it wasn't i then added it in as he told me to do and still nothing happened it was in the footer for the vbulletin basic style but not my own style so from there like i said i added it to my style and no luck then he instructed me that i could take it out of the footer template as it was never in there anywayss in my style that is and then just edit the index.php in the main forums dir and so i then did that and well now it works ....
as for the comment "But I'm sure you know what you are doing, so good luck. " in fact i have no clue what im doing but so far everything is still working 100% for the first time in 6 months so im happy, sorry for any confusion im just also letting others no that go looking for this problem cause i no there has been many people asking but yet no answers and tho it was not me that solved the problem i don't wanna see others have the same frustration that i had so to PAUL M and all that helped or replyed thanks very much guys and to people that read this well good luck if you have the same issue :)
cheers mates
