Is it possible to be able to email a new user sort of a personal welcome to the forum like an autoresponder? Like when someone joins, I get an email telling me that they joined. Can the person that joins recieve an email from the Admin automatically after signing up? I would like to be able to do it about 30 minutes after they sign up so it doesnt LOOK like an auto responder...Is this possible?
yes, add the code inside register.php
30 minutes later is harder. You would have to do it via a cron job then, storing email to go in a database etc.. probably not worth it.
Thnanks, Chris...now what code do I need to add? I know NOTHING about PHP coding OR MySQL coding...can you help???

I don't think that really applies in this case, as the dreaded square brackets were not used.
Jaxsdad , i am going to look into this. I want it to do a few things for new members so give me a chance.
But the REQUEST in capitals is annoying even if it dosen't have [ or ]. Still not nearly as bad :)
what i'd like to see is PM a user upon registration
