Many forums tolerance level

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has noticed a general tolerance level to the number of forums under which vbulletin will perform well and what the ceiling may be where it begins to degrade. I'm working on something could potentially have a new forum added every day and so w/in a year or two could have potentially thousands of forums going. Would this be a mistake?

Also, is there any benchmarking information available anywhere that tests vbulletin under various conditions?
