Group,
I am looking for a way to have an automatic feature setup where it would delete registered members from my board if they have not logged into the board within a predefined amount of time determined by "last login" or "inactive member status or user group".
Anyone know of anything I could do that would do this?
Any ideas?
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Doug
P.S.
I was told by Freddie over at VB that I need to create a scheduled task that will prune members.

I'm also interested in such a tool that does this. (spotted your query in vbulletin forums and then found you here, Doug :) )
Surely the hack gods can pull us something from their melting pots. :pirate:

Changed my mind on the deleting part....
Anyway of getting one that will move the member to another user group?
I created an "Inactive Member" user group, incase the member should popin later and want to continue their membership with us.
Or let me select in the admin cp which one I want to do?
Thanks

Yes - I have a custom hack on our forum that moves inactive users to a specific usergroup if they haven't logged in for x days - but if they ever do login, it automatically moves them back to usergroup 2.

Well, it has code to prune members - which could potentially cause havoc.
So i'd never recommend to use this anywhere else than on a testboard (though, I am using this myself in production environment)

Andreas,
Would you be willing to add to this mod the ability of admins to change in the control panel to select between deleting (prune) of members of to move members to another user group?
If you would be willing to do this I definetly would use your mod.
Thanks
Doug

vB has a function in the ACP to do this, and you can do it either manually or set up a schedule task to do it.

Ok, but does it have the email feature like this mod does?
Also where and how would I set this up in Vbulletin's acp if it can be done?
